FAQ

Custom menu covers questions, answered.

Everything buyers ask before they order — minimums, timings, artwork and print options.

What is the minimum order?

Our minimum order is just 12 covers, with bulk tiers as quantities grow. Every mechanism and panel count carries the same minimum.

How fast will my menu covers arrive?

Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and covers ship in about 2 weeks. Padded hardbacks and multi-panel fold-outs can add a few days, and we confirm a real ship date in writing before you commit.

Why do you need my actual insert rather than a size?

Because size names are not sizes. Letter is not A4, a trimmed sheet is not the dimension it was ordered at, and a laminated insert is measurably thicker than the same sheet unlaminated. Almost every complaint in this category — a white margin showing, a sheet that will not sit flat, a creased corner — is a cover cut to a name instead of to a measured sheet.

Which attachment should I choose?

It depends on who reloads it and how often. Slits and pockets are tool-free and fastest. Cords are gentlest on the paper. Screw posts are the only mechanism that takes a change in page count. Rivets cannot be reloaded at all. We will recommend one and tell you exactly how it fails, in writing, before you buy.

Will the clear windows go cloudy?

In time, and unevenly — they cloud and then yellow fastest in the band where the cloth passes most often, so the cover looks tired before it has failed. A thicker, better-plasticised window resists it markedly longer, and we quote the window material and gauge rather than calling it clear.

What does our cleaning spray have to do with it?

It decides the edge construction. Alcohol and quaternary sanitisers wick into a heat-sealed seam and the panel then delaminates from the inside, which no cleaning routine reverses. A turned-and-stitched edge has no seam to wick into. Tell us what is actually in the bottle and we specify against it.

Do you print the inserts as well?

We print inserts to fit covers we are making, as a fit service, so the sheet and the pocket agree with each other. We are not a menu programme printer and we will not pretend to be one — if you want a full printed menu programme designed and cycled, that is a different specialism and we will say so.

Are these dishwasher safe or antimicrobial?

No, and we will not claim either. These are wipe-clean articles, not food-contact or dishwasher-safe ones, and no cover we make is antimicrobial or claimed to be. What we will do is specify the window, the edge and the mechanism so the cover survives being wiped several dozen times a service, which is the honest version of the same promise.
