Slip-In Menu Covers
A slip-in cover is the fastest reload in the category: the sheet goes in from the top or into four corner slits, and a host can change a whole rack of them between services without a tool. If your menu changes weekly and the person changing it is whoever is on shift, this is usually the right mechanism.
It is also the mechanism with the clearest failure mode, and we would rather you hear it from us. Corner slits load the sheet at four points, so the paper tears at a corner first — typically after a few dozen reloads on an uncoated stock. That is not a defect in the cover; it is the trade you make for a tool-free reload. A full top-load pocket spreads the load and lasts far longer, at the cost of a slightly slower change.
The fit is what makes or breaks it. A cover cut to a size name rather than to your actual sheet leaves a white margin showing at one edge, or grips so tightly that the corner creases every time. We cut from the insert you send us, measured, including its finished thickness after any lamination.
